Xiaomi Redmi 4 with Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB RAM spotted on benchmarks, launch expected August 25


Earlier this year in January, Xiaomi released the Redmi 3, and now it appears that the Chinese smartphone is working on its successor. The Redmi 4 has been spotted in Geekbench website revealing its processing power.

As per benchmark results, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 has octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC along with Adreno 506 GPU, and will pack 3GB RAM. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Meanwhile, a leak suggests that Redmi 4 will offer 5-inch 1080p display, fingerprint scanner at the back, 4100mAh battery with support for quick charge and flaunt a metal body.

For comparison, the Redmi 3 featured Snapdragon 616 SoC, 2GB RAM, 5-inch 720p display and 4100mAh battery.

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi 4 on August 25 with a starting price tag of CNY 699 (Rs. 7,000).
