YU Yureka S, Yunique Plus launching soon
Micromax subsidary YU Televentures is all set to announce two new budget smartphone. The Yunique Plus and Yureka S have been spotted on company's website with the complete spec list and pricing, however, there aren't details about their availability.
The YU Yureka S was first spotted back in March on GFXBenchmark website with model number YU5200 and is now ready for release. The Yureka S has 5.2-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass 3 display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. There's 13MP/5MP rear and front facing camera, 4G LTE support, hybrid dual-SIM slots and a 3000mAh battery. It will boot Android 5.1 Lollipop.
It will be priced at Rs. 12,999 and is missing out on one feature that is available at this price-segment, the fingerprint scanner.
The YU Yunique Plus is an upgraded model of Yunique. The only difference between both the phone is the memory. Yunique offered 1GB RAM, while the Yunique Plus offers 2GB RAM. The inbuilt storage still remains the same at 8GB.
As for the other specs, the Yunique Plus features 4.7-inch 720p IPS Gorilla Glass 3 display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 8MP rear & 2MP front camera, 4G LTE, Android 5.1 Lollipop and 2000mAh battery. It will be priced at Rs. 6,499.
YU this year also launched the 6-inch Yureka Note for Rs. 13,499 and the 'so-called' flagship Yunicorn for Rs. 14,999.
