Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE gets massive price cut in India


Ahead of the October 7 launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India, Apple has slashed the price of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in the country by up to Rs. 22,000, making it the biggest price cut by the company till date. The compact 4-inch iPhone SE has also received price cut.

The iPhone 6s 128GB is now priced at Rs. 60,000, down from launch price of Rs. 82,000. The bigger iPhone 6s Plus 128GB now costs Rs. 70,000, down from Rs. 92,000 launch price.

The iPhone SE 64GB, which currently carries the price tag of Rs. 49,000, is now available for Rs. 44,000. The price for 16GB model remains unchanged at Rs. 39,000.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were launched in the country in October last year. the base models with 16GB storage were priced at Rs. 62,000 and 72,000 respectively. They were available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. However, after the price cut, Apple is offering only 32GB and 128GB storage model of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in the country.

The price cut announcement comes just ahead of the festive season, as well as ahead of the iPhone 7/ 7Plus release in India.
