Gionee S6 Pro with 5.5-inch display, 4G RAM launched in India for Rs. 23,999


Gionee has launched S6 Pro, its latest S series metal-clad smartphone in India running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 UI on top.

The handset is priced at Rs. 23,999 (MOP) and will be available across the country from October 1 in Gold and Rose Gold colors. As an introductory offer, the S6 Pro comes with free three-month subscription to Saavn.

The S6 Pro is an upgraded version of S6, and gets a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button, and is powered by MediaTek chipset instead of Qualcomm. The rest of the specs are similar to its predecessor.

The Gionee S6 Pro has 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS 2.5D curved glass display, octa-core MediaTek P10 SoC w/ Mali T860 MP2 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The camera department is handled by 13MP Sony IMX258 rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. On the front there's 8MP selfie unit with screen flash feature. Connectivity duties are handled by hybrid dual SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C. A 3130mAh battery fuels the device.

The S6 Pro comes pre-loaded with Gionee VR app, which lets you enjoy VR games available in the G-Store. To experience VR, the company also released an optional VR headset priced at Rs. 2,499.
