Relaince Jio signs record 16 million new subscribers in 26 days

It's been over a month since Reliance Jio launched its 4G services to public in India. Now Jio has announced that it has signed record 16 million new subscribers in 26 days since its commercial operations, which is faster than any other telecom operator or startup in the world including the likes of Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype.

Relaince Jio officially rolled out its 4G services to the public on September 5, and opened doors to most smartphone brands that were not compatible with Jio SIMs during preview offer.

As promised, Jio has also introduced e-Adhaar passed eKYC JIO SIM activation across 3,100 cities and towns, for hassle-free and quick activation of Jio SIM cards within 15 minutes.

Currently Reliance Jio is offering free services to its customer under its Welcome Offer. Under the offer, Reliance Jio subscribers will get unlimited 4G data (cap of 4GB data/ day, post exhaustion users get 128kbps speed), voice calls, video calls, SMS and access to Jio suite of apps till December 2016.
