Asus launches ZenWatch 3 in India

Asus has launched the ZenWatch 3 smartwatch powered by Android Wear  in India. The watch will be available in rubber and leather strap variants priced at Rs. 17,599 and Rs. 18,999 respectively. It s now up for pre-order on Flipkart.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 sports a 9.5mm thick 316L stanless steel body with round dial and is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. It has a three-button system, to offer quick access to frequently used functions like opening ZenFit activity tracking app and chaning display modes.

It also doubles as a full-featured activity tracker the helps the wearer to achieve fitness goal. The ZenFitt app automatically tracks number of steps taken throughout the day, and also offers reminder to move if they are inactive for long time. In addition the app can track activities like walking, running, push-ups and more.

The smartwatch features 1.39-inch (400 x 400 pixels) AMOLED display, Snapdragin 2100 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 6-axis sensors, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and WiFi. It is backed by a 340mAH battery, and thanks to HyperCharge technology, the watch can be charged up to 60 percent in just 15 minutes. An optional battery pack is also available, that offers 40 percent more battery life.

The ZenWatch 3 is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 or higher and iOS 8.3 or up.
