JioMoney Merchant Solution is an e-wallet for Merchants


To create a digital payments ecosystem in India, Mukesh Ambani on Thursday announced the launch of JioMoney Merchant Solutions. It is basically an e-wallet for merchants in the form of an app, that will enable digital transactions of all types at small shops, restaurants, mandi, railways and bus stations and when transferring money.

Merchants will be able to download the JioMoney Merchant app starting December 5, and can use it to accept payments, which will be credited directly to their bank accounts. The app will also let merchants make supplier payments, send money between their bank accounts, and use digital petty cash.

In addition customers will also be able to use their existing JioMoney digital wallets to make payments to merchants and thet can use the app to accept payments directly to their back accounts.

Reliance Jio aims to sign up to 10 million small merchant retailer on the JioMoney Merchant  platform in the coming weeks across 17,000 towns and four lakh villages. The telecom operator will also expand JioMoney app's reach to millions of touch points across the country where Aadhar-based microATMs will be deployed.
