LG will introduce new K-series, X-series and Stylus 3 smartphones at CES 2017


LG will be launching second-gen models of K-series and X-series smartphones in the coming months including six at CES 2017, according to VentureBeat. First up the mid-range K-series includes K3, K4, K8 and K10, and these phones mostly differ in screen sizes, camera department and battery capacity.

LG K3 2017 — 4.5-inch, 5MP rear and 2MP front-facing cams, 2100mAh battery

LG K4 2017 — 4.7-inch, 8MP rear and 5MP front-facing cams, 2500mAh battery

LG K8 2017 — 5.0-inch HD display, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cams, 2500mAh battery

LG K10 2017 — 5.3-inch HD display, 2.5D glass on front and back, 5MP wide-angle, front-facing selfie cam, fingerprint reader, rear-mounted buttons

The LG X-series phones include X calibur and X Power. The X Calibur will feature 4100mAh battery and is said to offer military standard durability and  IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The LG X power 2 will have 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP/5MP cameras and 4500mAh battery.

Apart from LG K-series and LG X-series, LG will also introduced the LG Stylus 3 with 5.7-inch display, 32GB storage, 13MP/5MP camera, fingerprint scanner, stylus pen and 3200mAh battery. It will launch as Stylo 3 Plus in the United States.

The new LG K-series phones will be unveiled at CES 2017 alongside LG Stylus 3 and LG X calibur. The LG X Power will make its debut at MWC 2017, Barcelona (Feb. 27  to March 2).

As far as release date are concerned, LG's new K-series will hit the market in middle of January 2017. The Stylus 3 will ship in mid-February, followed by X calibur in mid-march and X power 2 by end of April 2017. Pricing of these phones are yet to be known.
