Moto Z starts receiving Android Nougat with Daydream support in India
The Moto Z is now receiving Android Nougat in India. The new system update upgrades the Moto Z to version NPL25.85-15 and adds support for Daydream platform making it compatible with Google's Daydream View VR headset.
Nougat update for Moto Z is an OTA update and is around 1.4GB in size. Users who get the update notification can tap on "Yes, I'm in" to download the update, and once that is complete you'll be prompted to install it. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
Besides Daydream support, Nougat for Moto Z adds productivity features like multi-window view, that allows you to run two apps side by side; Quick switch between apps by double tapping on the overview /recent aps button and Work Mode, which allows users to turn off the phone's work apps when not at work.
The update also includes performance improvements, enhanced battery life, lock screen wallpaper support, new emoji, Android security patch until November, 1, 2016 and more.
