Now Aircel is offering unlimited calling to any network with unlimited 2G data for Rs. 249
After Airtel, Vodafone and Idea, Aircel has now announced unlimited calling plans with data benefits in India to counter Reliance Jio.
Aircel is out with two new prepaid plans ― Rs. 14 and Rs. 249 ― offering unlimited local and STD calling across all networks with validity of one day and 28 days respectively.
The Rs. 249 pack also comes with unlimited 2G data benefits. In addition 3G handset users will get an extra 500MB of 3G data, while 4G handset users will get extra 1.5GB of 4G data. Note that the prices both packs will vary from region to region.
For comparison, rivals Airtel, Vodafone and Idea offer almost identical schemes with free unlimited calls and limited mobile internet use priced at Rs. 150 (unlimited local and STD Airtel to Airtel/Idea to Idea/Vodafone to Vodafone calls + 300MB 4G data) and Rs. 350 (unlimited local & STD calls to any network in the country + 1GB of 4G data) with 28 days validity. Vodafone's offer also includes free incoming calls on national roaming.
However, Jio is way ahead over these operator with its Happy New offer, which gives unlimited calling to any network across the country and unlimited data (1GB FUP per day) until March 31.
