HTC Ocean Note/U Ultra will have a secondary ticker display

HTC is holding an event tomorrow, January 12 (8am GMT, 1:30pm IST) to unveil a new product. According to reports the company will lunch several smartphones, however, details and live images of one of the handset code-named Ocean Note allegedly called HTC U Ultra have leaked.

The report says that HTC U Ultra will have a secondary ticker display located above the main screen, similar to LG V20. The secondary display will show notifications, Google Search, weather updates, date and time, battery percentage and more.

HTC U Ultra will sport a metal body with 2.5D glass on front and back, metal frame running round the edges, USB Type-C port, no headphone jack and speaker grille at bottom edge. There's also the Home Button which will carry the fingerprint sensor.

The U Ultra is said to have touch sensitive outer frame (to control some features of the device by swiping the edges) 5.7-inch QHD display and 12MP rear camera, which will reportedly have the highest-DxOMark score yet to dethrone Google's Pixel smartphone. Other features include Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and Android Nougat.

Along with U Ultra, HTC is also expected to launch One X10 (successor of One X9) at its January 12 event, besides another low-end smartphone code-named Alpine.
