More Nokia smartphone are coming on Februrary 26

Lots of buzz is building around the resurrected Nokia brand. Over the weekend HMD Global, who holds exclusive Nokia brand licensing rights, unveiled the Nokia 6 Android smartphone in China. Unfortunate for Nokia fans world-wide, the Nokia 6 is said to be exclusive to China market only and may not get a world-wide release.

But there is some good news now. HMD Global will be holding a press event on February 26, just a day ahead before MWC kicks off to announce new Nokia devices.

Nokia posted a teaser video on Facebook, with the caption that goes with saying “Get ready! The Nokia 6 is coming to China! More announcements to follow on February 26th… Save the date!”

While company haven't confirmed the launch of a new smartphone, recent reports have suggested that HMD Global will launch as many as seven Nokia Android devices in the entry-level, mid-range and top-end categories. So it is likely that a couple of new Nokia devices is on the way.

As for the Nokia 6, the mid-range phone will go on sale in China on January 19 on jd.com for CNY 1699 ($245 | Rs. 17,000). To recap the specs, the Nokia 6 features 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16MP/8MP cameras, fingerprint scanner, Android Nougat and 3000mAh battery.
