Possible Sony Xperia XA 2017 stars in hands-on video


The successor of Xperia XA surfaced in leaked renders last year, and now the phone has stared in a hands-on video carrying the model number G3121. The device is said to be a prototype.

As seen in the video, the Xpera XA 2017 has a design, similar to to Xperia XA, sporting bezel-less display. The SIM card and microSD card slot are located on the left, while the volume control is on the right side. There's also a dedicated camera button and Sony's signature power button, which could house the fingerprint sensor.

The video revealed only few details like the design, the 23MP rear camera, and Android 7.0 Nougat with January 5 security patch. According to rumors, the phone will have 5-inch display (resolution unknown) and measure 145 x 66.8 x 7.9mm.

Sony will most likely unveil the Xperia XA successor at MWC in Barcelona next month.
