Reliance Jio feature phone surfaces in image


Earlier reports have suggested that Reliance Jio would launch 4G VoLTE enabled feature phones at price points between Rs. 999 and Rs. 2,000 in the first quarter of 2017. 

Now an alleged live image of Jio's first feature phone have surfaced. The image was first spotted by FoneArena, and the feature phone is said to be priced at Rs. 1,299.

As seen in the image, Jio's feature phone will have dedicated keys for MyJio, Jio Live TV, Jio Video and Jio Music services below the display. It will also have a dedicated button for torch light and a regular T9 Keyboard and D-pad in the middle. Unfortunately other details are not known.

According to earlier reports Jio feature phone will be marketed under the LYF Easy moniker. They will run Android and will be equipped with Spreadtrum chipsets for 4G LTE feature. However, Jio is in talks with Qualcommm and MediaTek for low cost 4G VoLTE enabled mobile processors.

Reliance Jio is expected to launch feature phones in the first week of February.
