Huawei Watch 2 with Android Wear 2.0 to launch at MWC 2017

Huawei is expected to unveil the flagship P10 and P10 Plus at MWC 2017 in Barcelona on February 26. The company will also unveil a new smartwatch at the same event.

Richard Yu, Huwei CEO has announced that, the company will announce Huwaei Watch 2 as well at MWC 2017. He also shared a teaser of the smartwatch (not clearly seen) worn by a man, and with the tag line "Made For Free Spirits" indicating that the Huawei Watch 2 will flaunt a sportier look.

The Huawei Watch 2 will succeed the popular Huawei Watch (announced at MWC 2015), and will run Google's latest wearable platform Android Wear 2.0. Last week Google and LG announced LG Watch Style and Watch Sport running Android Wear 2.0.

Reports suggest that Huawei Watch 2 will have a sportier looks than its predecessor, but come with 1.4-inch circular touch screen display, same as Huawei Watch. It will be offered in two models - WiFi/Bluetooth only and cellular connectivity with built-in SIM card support to enable data connection, available in leather or stainless straps.
