Panasonic launches Toughpad FZ-F1, FZ-N1 smartphones, FZ-A2 tablet in India


Panasonic, apart from being a popular consumer electronics brand, is also well-known for its budget smartphones in India, but the company also makes high-priced rugged devices aimed at enterprises.

That said, Panasonic is launching three new rugged devices in country ― Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 smartphones, and FZ-A2 tablet. The devices are dust and water resistant thanks to IP65 rating and sports MIL-STD-810G certified case, which can withstand drops from up to six feet.

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 feature the same specs, except for the operating system. The FZ-F1 runs Microsoft's Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise, while the FZ-N1 runs Google's Android 5.1 Lollipop.

They feature 4.7-inch HD sunlight-viewable display with rain sensing and glove touch support, and an optional stylus pen. The phones are powered by Snapdragon 801 processor and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It gets 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. They also feature 4G LTE support, WiFi 802.11ac, angled 1D/2D barcode reader (to scan items) and NFC. A 3200mAh battery keeps the light on, and in case extra juice is needed, there's an optional 6200mAh battery as well.



The Toughpad FZ-A2 tablet comes with 10.1-inch IPS daylight readable touch display, Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 8MP rear camera and Full HD front camera. It also features microSD card slot, optional 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS and an integrated business module. The tablet runs Android Marshmallow and promises up to nine hours of battery life.

The Toughpad FZ-N1 and FZ-F1 smartphones are priced at Rs. 99,000 and Rs. 1.09 lakhs respectively, while the Toughpad FZ-A2 is priced Rs. 1.20 lakhs.
