Sony Pikachu with 21MP camera, Android Nougat runs through GFXBench


Sony is expected to launch new smartphones at MWC later this month on February 27. Ahead of the event, a new Sony smartphone have run through GFXBench with an interesting codename, Pikachu.

As per the listing, Sony Pikachu will feature 5-inch HD display and equipped with 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and 21MP/8MP cameras. The rear camera will boast features like HDR photo, touch focus, face detection, auto focus and 1080p video recording capability. It will run Android Nougat and include microSD card slot and NFC support.

The Pikachu could be the Sony G3112, which has been surfacing for quite some time and is rumored to have Helio P20 chip and HD display.

There's also beefed up version of G3112 called Sony G3221, that will feature Full HD display, Helio P20 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 23MP/16MP cameras and run Android Nougat.

Both are expected to be unveiled at MWC 2017.
