Xiaomi outs selfie stick with tripod and Bluetooth remote

Xiaomi is expanding its mobile accessory portfolio, by adding a new selfie-stick that has a built-in tripod and Bluetooth remote.

The selfie stick can be easily transformed into a tripod stand, and can be paced on a flat surface, to snap selfies, stream live video or for video chatting.

The Bluetooth remote control  is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 or iOS 5 and higher. It is attached to the stem of the stick, but can be removed and used to capture selfies, in case the tripod is placed far.

The rod of the selfie stick is made from aluminum alloy and has a handle pad for firm grip. It also has a 360-degree rotatable bracket to hold smartphones with width between 56 and 89mm. For instance, it can hold Xiaomi's huge 6.44-inch Mi Max that has a width of 88.3mm. Like other selfie sticks, Xiaomi's new selfie stick is portable and foldable and weighs just 155g, and can fit inside the bag easily.

Xiaomi's selfie stick is priced at Rs. CNY 89 ($13 | Rs. 850) and is available from China's Mi.com in grey and black hues.
