SanDisk Extreme Pro, Extreme Go USB 3.1 flash drives and Ultra 256GB microSD card launched in India


SanDisk is launching its new Extreme Pro and Extreme Go USB 3.1 flash drives and 256GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card in India. The new products are aimed at users like creative professionals who create and shares massive files and want to copy them quickly on the go.

The 256GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card is claimed to be the world's first SD card that meets the Application Performance Class 1 (A1) requirements from the latest SD Association’s SD 5.1 specifications. It offers up to 95MB/s read speed and can store up to 24 hours of Full HD video. The microSD card is water-proof, temperature proof, shockproof and X-ray proof and is compatible with SanDisk Memory Zone app for Android.

It will be available from April 1 for Rs. 18,990.

Next is the SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.1 Solid State Flash Drive, that will be available in 128GB and 256GB capacities priced at Rs. 8,490 and Rs. 13,990 respectively. It boasts SSD speeds with read speed of up to 420MB/s and write speed of up to 380MB/s. With that much speed you can transfer a full-length 4K movie to the drive in less than 15 seconds and 1,000 photos in less than 25 seconds.

Lastly, the SandDisk Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive comes in 64GB and 128GB capacities, and costs Rs. 3,990 and Rs. 5,990 respectively. It promises read speeds of up to 200MB/s and write speed of up to 150MB/s. It is capable of transferring a  full-length 4K movie in under 40 seconds, and 1,000 photos in less than 60 seconds.

Both the flash drives include SanDisk SecureAcess software for added fill protection, which offers 128-bit file encryption and password protection.

The new flash drives and microSD card will initially be available on Amazon India and select retail outlets and will roll out to other retail partners in a phased manner.
