Amazon's Echo Look is a $199 style assistant

Amazon is adding a new product to its Echo family, in the form of Echo Look a voice controlled camera. It also comes with built-in voice assistant Alexa, and the device is basically meant to be your style assistant, as the camera helps catalog your outfits and rates your looks based on "machine learning algorithms"

By using your voice, you can take full-length photos or short videos of your daily look with the Echo Look, that features built-in LED lighting, depth-sensing camera that blurs the background of the photo. You can preview the photos and videos to see yourself from every angle in the dedicated Echo Look app.

You can even get recommendations based on your daily look and use Style Check feature, a service that combines machine learning algorithms with advice from fashion specialists. For using Style Check function, you have to submit two photos to get second opinion on which outfit looks best on you based on fit, color, styling and current trends. Amazon says, over the time time, the opinion will get smarter through your feed back.

Additionally, like the original Echo speaker, you can ask Alexa on the Echo Look to read the news and audiobooks, set alarms, get traffic and weather updates, control smart home devices, play music, and more. Amazon says it will continue to add Alexa skills for the Echo Look to make it more smarter.

Amazon is currently selling the Echo Look at $200 in the US on an invitation-only basis.
