Android Nougat rolling out to Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge in India

The Indian units of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have started receiving Android Nougat update. The update was first rolled out to Europe and UK last month, and recently in the U.S, and now finally reaches India.

The Nougat update for Galaxy S6 has the build number G920IDVU3FQD1 and is 1235.04MB  in size, while for Galaxy S6 edge, the build number is G925IDVU3FQD1 and the update package weighs 1247.36MB.

The Nougat update will bring the same features as the international update, including tweaks to TouchWiz interface, Quick panel and notifications improvement, multi-window support, always-on display and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process. 

It will also add Galaxy S7's blue light filter option to minimize the amount of blue light emitted by the screen. The update also includes Android security patch for the month of March 2017.
