No Android Nougat update for Lenovo Vibe K5 Note

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note was one of the popular smartphones in India last year, and the company back in August 2016 claimed that it sold Rs. 100 crore ($15 million) worth of units in its first weekend of sales. The Vibe K5 Note boasted of decent specs and shipped with Android Marshmallow.

Unfortunately, if Vibe K5 Note owners are waiting for Android Nougat, there's some bad news. Lenovo has confirmed that Vibe K5 Note won't be getting Android Nougat update in the future, and remain in Android Marshmallow. This will surely disappoint the owners of the phone.

The confirmation comes straight from Lenovo India's official Twitter handle. While replying to a user, Lenovo revealed that K5 Note will not be updated to Android Nougat.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note was a decent value for money phone offering specs like 5.5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek Helio P10 chip 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64 expandable storage, 13MP/8MP cameras, dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE and 3500mAh battery.

Currently, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is exclusively available on Flipkart, and the 3GB RAM/32GB storage model is priced at Rs. 10,999, 4GB RAM/32GB storage at 11,499 and 4GB RAM/64GB storage at Rs. 12,499.
