Oppo F3 dual-selfie camera phone launch set for May 4

Last month, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo launched the dual-selfie camera toting F3 Plus in India. At that time the company revealed that the Oppo F3 will launch in the country soon.

Today, Oppo has announced that it will be launching the F3 in the country on May 4. The phone will be launched in association with the highly anticipated upcoming blockbuster film Baahubali 3 .

“Both Baahubali and OPPO share the same spirit of pursuit of perfection. The aim is to provide best visual experience to the audience and give them larger than life experience. OPPO is the same in terms of providing their consumers the extraordinary experience with innovative technologies,” said Oppo.

The Oppo F4 will have the same design and the same dual-selfie camera lens 16MP+8MP found on the Oppo F3 Plus. The 16MP sensor is for taking those regular selfies, while the 8MP sensor packs wide-angles for snapping group selfie.

However, it can be expected the Oppo F3 gets a smaller screen size, than Oppo F3 Plus's 6-inch screen, a lower capacity battery and a few tweaks to the specs. To recall, the Oppo F3 Plus featured Snapdragon 653 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16MP Sony IMX398 main camera, 4000mAh battery, Android Marshmallow and fingerprint scanner.

The Oppo F3 Plus's price was very higher at Rs. 30,990, given the mid-range specs, so it will be intersting to see how low, Oppo will price the F3.
