Reliance Jio’s Summer Surprise offer ends; promises new tariff packs and offers

Ever since its inception, Reliance Jio has come out with various ways to offer free internet to its users, to expand its subscriber base, the latest being Jio Summer Surprise offer.

However, last week Jio's new plan backfired, after TRAI advised it to withdraw its latest offer on April 6, but Jio didn't end the offer immediately.

Finally on April 9 midnight, Jio's Summer Surprise Offer finally came to an end, six days before its deadline. Those who have subscribed to Jio Summer Surprise offer before the discontinuation, will remain eligible for the offer.

To refresh your memory, Jio's Summer Surprise Offer gave its subscribers additional three months of free services till June 17 by paying a one-time fee of Rs. 99 to enroll for Jio Prime membership, and a recharge Rs. 303. Moreover, Prime Members will get 28GB (1GB per day) per month on a recharge of Rs. 303 per month till March 2018.

Both Jio Prime Member membership and Summer Surpise offer are now removed from Jio's website, and is replaced by a new banner, that says Jio will update its tariff packs soon and introduce more exciting offer. Currently, it is not known what Jio's next plan is, but according to rumors, it will launch new affordable packs with up to 28GB data to entice disappointed customers. We'll get to know the details in the coming days.
