Lenovo K6 Power and K6 Note now receiving Android Nougat in India

Lenovo is rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to the K6 Power and K6 Note in India. Both were launched in the country last year, and shipped with Android Marshmallow.

Nougat for K6 Power and K6 Note brings several new features like multi-window support, (allowing you to run two apps side by side), smarter and bundled notifications, quick app switching, data saver (limit background data usage when the phone is not connected to WiFi), improved doze mode, and more.

The update is being rolled out over-the-air, and Lenovo advises K6 Power and K6 Note users to back up important data before upgrading the smartphone. Since this is a major upgrade make sure the phones have sufficient battery backup of at-least 50 percent, and connected to a WiFi network before initiating the update. In case of stability issues arising due to legacy app data, a factory reset would help get optimal device performance.

If you're interested in the pricing and specs of theses phones, the K6 Power comes in two variants: 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM, and are currently available at discounted price of Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. Its specs are 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 chip, 32GB storage, 13MP/8MP camera and 4000mAh battery.
