OxygenOS 3.6.0 update for OnePlus 2 brings June security patch and bug fixes

Just few days ago, OnePlus released Oxygen OS 3.5.9 update for the OnePlus 2, which had a fix for the 4G VoLTE issue. Now it is rolling out another update for the device in the form of OxygenOS 3.6.0.

The update doesn't bring any new features, but includes bug fixes and updates the Android security patch level to 1st June 2017. The update again fixes VoLTE releated issues in India. Also a  a bug that did not allow OnePlus 2 automatically register on the 4G network has also been fixed. The change log also mentions 'Updated timezone to GMT+3 in Turkey'.

Here's what included in the OxygenOS 3.6.0 for the OnePlus 2:
  • New:
Updated Android Security patch level to 1s June 2017
Updated timezone to GMT+3 in Turkey
  • Bug Fixes:
Fixed VoLTE related issues in India
Fixed device not being able to automatically register on 4G networks
As always, OxygenOS 3.6.0 will be pushed over-the-air in phases, with a small percentage of users receiving it today, followed by a wider roll-out for everyone in the coming days.

OnePlus has already confirmed that OnePlus 2 will not get Android Nougat at all, which left many disappointed. Two update in quick succession indicates that OnePlus has started listening to its customers, and at-least provide security update address issue with the software if any.
