LG's V30 flagship leaks in hands-on video

LG's upcoming flagship V30 has leaked in live images. The images surfaced on HitRecord website, an organization backed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt that gets people to collaborate on video projects.

Every year LG teams up with HitRecord, and gives its creators access to unreleased LG devices (in this case V30) for testing and share their experiences on a closed community forum. However, the forum was not closed, and the photos are now public.

The newly leaked images corroborates, with the renders that surfaced earlier this month, and show the front and back on the phones. We get a closer look at the rear mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-camera setup, and glass back. The main display seems to have 18:9 ration=, and takes up the entire front of the V30, with minimal bezels on all sides. Moreover, it appears that the secondary screen has been ditched. Overall the design is pretty similar to LG G6.

LG has already confirmed that V30 will have 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen will also have a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.

According to earlier reports, the LG V30 will feature floating bar, instead of secondary display that will provide quick access to shortcuts and notifications, Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM, dual-cameras at the back with f/1.6 aperture, rear mounted fingerprint scanner, IP68 water and dust resistance, military standard protection, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, new Quad DAC audio chip and 3300mAh battery.

The LG V30 will be officially announced on August 31 at IFA 2017, Berlin. The event will kick-off 9am CEST (12:30pm IST).
