Vivo Xplay 7 will feature under-display fingerprint scanner and quad cameras

Vivo showcased the prototype (modified version of Xplay 6) of the world’s first smartphone with an under-display fingerprint sensor at MWC 2017, Shanghai. Now the company is almost ready for the commercial launch of a device sporting the under-display fingerprint tech.

A leak coming out of China, reveals details of vivo's upcoming flagship. Dubbed Xplay 7, some images of the device have surfaced from a Power Point presentation, and confirms that it will use Qualcomm's under the glass fingerprint sensor, instead of using a physical button.

The images also shows a quad-camera setup for the Xplay 7: two will be placed at the back in a vertical arrangement with a LED flash in-between, and the other two on the front for selfies. It's worth mentioning that vivo was the first smartphone maker to bring dual-selfie cameras to smartphones. However, Alcatel with its Flash smartphone, was the first company to add four cameras on a phone.

Furthermore, the images also show the Xplay 7 with Full screen display with dual-curved edges at sides, minmal bezels on top and bottom, that looks almost similar to Galaxy S8+. It also appears to have a very slim profile.

Unfortunately there is still no words on the specs, but we can expect it to feature QHD resolution with an AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 835/Snapdragon 660 Mobile platform and 6GB or 8GB RAM.

The vivo Xplay 7 is most likely to go official in the coming weeks.
