Social media for BABIES?
It all started from a research carried out by the Dutch designer Laura Cornet, on the publication of photos of newborn babies from their parents that led to the discovery that most of the photos are published on the day after birth.
Now, your baby could post his or her first selfie with the help of a device called the New Born Fame, a stuffed toy which looks like a mobile dangling over a baby's crib. As soon as the child approaches, the system immediately takes a snapshot or a video and publish it on social network.
The device is designed by Laura Cornet, a student at the department of Man & Communication of the Eindhoven Design Academy in Netherlands. She said that the objective was precisely to create a debate on the right to publish photos of children online.
Although many people have liked the idea of the toy, it has attracted much criticism. Given the number of positive and negative comments, Laura Cornet has achieved its purpose.
