Images And Specifications Of Samsung Z1 Tizen Leaked

After much delay, Samsung is finally going to unveil the Tizen powered Samsung Z1. Yesterday, a report from Korea Economic Daily read that the Samsung Z1 will be launched in India on January 18, 2015.  Now there are new details of the the Samsung Z1.

Mahesh Khatri of Mahesh telcom posted on his twitter account @MAHESHTELECOM  images along with full specifications of the Samsung Z1. It looks like the handset was unveiled at a partners event in Mumbai on Monday. [The Images and spec sheets were later removed]

According to Mahesh Telecom, The Samsung Tizen Z1 will feature a 4-inch WVGA(480x800 pixels) display and powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage [expandable via microSD upto 32GB]. The handset run on Tizen 2.3OS.

Camera features include 3-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera with flash. The device is powered by 1500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Mahesh Telecom also revealed that Samsung has tied-up with Aircel and Reliance and will provide 500MB of free 3G data from both network for six months. Other features of Samsung Z1 include offline maps, offline web browsing, auto selfie mode, low light photography and ultra power saving mode.

There is no official word on the pricing yet, but the device will be an entry level handset and is expected to cost Rs. 6000 ($90). The handset will also launch in China (February) and South Korea.

Samsung Z1 will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 1s and Android One handsets in the entry level market segment in India. We should wait until the launch date to know more about the performance of Samsung's new OS Tizen
