Samsung's Tizen Z1 Smartphone To Launch In India On January 18
After much delay it looks like Samsung's Tizen based handset -Z1 could finally release. According to a report from Korea Economic Daily, the Samsung Z1 ( SM-Z130H) will be launched in India on January 18, 2015. The handset will also launch in China (February) and South Korea.
The Samsung Z1 will be an entry-level smartphone, and will be priced at 100,000 Korean won (Rs.5,400 ; $90). The handset will be available both online and Samsungs 'existing sales network'.
What is Tizen ? Tizen is an open source operating system that's built on linux. It is used on a variety of smart devices including smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, smart digital cameras, smart TVs, media players, vehicles , PCs, printers, and smart home appliances.It is already available on Samsung's smartwatches and fitness trackers like the Gear S and the Gear Fit.
The rumored specification of the Samsung Z1 include a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz dual core Spreadtrum SC7727S processor paired with 512MB of RAM,3.2-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front facing camera. The handset is a dual-SIM device and will support 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
