ASUS launched a new variant of the Zenfone 5 with model number A501CG-2B509WWE in India. This is fourth variant of Zenfone 5 for Indian market, the other are Zenfone 5 (A501CG), Zenfone 5 (A500CG), and Zenfone 5 (A502CG). All the handsets are differentiated mainly between chipset and display. The device has received a tremendous response from the Indian masses, said the company in a release.

Coming to the specs, the handset features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 screen resolution and is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It packs 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage [microSD card support]. It runs Android Jelly bean 4.3 with ASUS ZenUI on top.

Camera features include an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include Dual SIM support, 3G, WiFi, b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It is backed by 2110 mAh battery.
