Oppo launched its latest Android smartphone in its R1 smartphone series - the R1C in china. The handset comes with sapphire glass panel and 4G connectivity.

The Oppo R1C features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage [microSD card support upto 32GB]. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor and an f/2.0 aperture and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The handset is backed by 2420mAh battery.

The Oppo R1C is priced at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 25,000) and will start shipping January 20. Interested buyers can pre-order it from Oppo's online store.

Recently, Oppo launched the Oppo R5 which is the second slimmest smartphone with 4.85mm thickness after the Vivo X5Max (4.75mm). The handset features same processor and camera seen in Oppo R1C and is priced at Rs. 29,990.
