Nvidia Holding An Event On March 3, Vows To ‘redefine the future of gaming’


Nvidia sent out press invites for an event on March 3 in San Francisco where the company will demonstrate a product that has been "five years in making" ready to "redefine the future of gaming". The press invite did not reveal any other details.

It's prettry sure that Nvidia's next device will feature the Tegra X1 chipset which was announced at CES 2015.

Recently we heard that Nvidia is working on the successor to the Sheild tablet. The tablet features 8-inch screen, Supports LTE connectivity and is powered by Tegra X1 chipset.

The Tegra X1 is the first mobile processor capable of 1 teraflop floating point performance. It is claimed to deliver twice the performance of Tegra K1. The Tegra X1 mobile chip features 256-core Maxwell GPU, 8 CPU cores (4x ARM Cortex A57 + 4x ARM Cortex A53), 60 fps 4K video (H.265, H.264, VP9), 1.3 gigapixel of camera throughput and 20nm process.

According to recent reports the successor to the sheild tablet will be announced mid march.

We will have to wait till March 3 to see what this "five year in making" gadget which is going to "redefine the future of gaming" is going to be.
