Amazon Kindle Voyage Ebook Reader launched in India

Amazon has launched the Kindle Voyage ebook reader in India. The Kindle Voyage will come in two variants Wi-Fi only and 3G. The Wi-Fi only model comes with a price tag of Rs. 16,499 while the 3G model is priced at Rs. 20,499. 

The Amazon Kindle Voyage sports a glass front panel and a matte magnesium chassis. It features a 6-inch Carta e-paper display with pixel density of 300ppi. The screen is made out of micro-etched glass to feel more like paper. 

The ebook reader comes with 4GB internal storage and offers six weeks of battery life. It measures 7.6mm around the waist and weighs 188 grams.

The Kindle Voyage has a new adaptive front light that is automatically controlled using the built-in Sensor. It also has 'Page Press' feature. The page press allows users to turn the page without lifting a finger. Users will have to apply pressure on the bezel to turn the page and offers haptic feedback when pressed.  It also comes with host of features like Whispersync, Word wise Kindle Freetime and Good page.

The Kindle Voyage 3G comes with unlimited 3G usage, so users can  browse the Kindle store and download books without needing to connect to Wi-Fi. 

The Kindle Voyage is now available to purchase via Amazon and through 350 offline stores across India.
