ASUS ZenFone 2 with 4GB RAM coming soon to India
Asus has confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated Zenfone 2 smartphone on India. Zenfone 2 made its debut at CES 2015 and is the first handset to come with 4GB RAM.
Asus in a press note said that ‘ASUS to yet again disrupt the Indian Smartphone market soon with Zenfone 2. Taking on Samsung S6 & Apple’s recent launches, the device features 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor with 4GB RAM."
The company also took a dig at smartphone brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Micromax's Yu and Lenovo who sell their products via flash sale and invite-based system (OnePlus). The note added "No waiting for flash sales or invitations as Zenfone is for all!’. This means that the handset will be available via open sale and no registration is required to grab one.
There are many models of the Zenfone 2, but the company in its press note has made it clear, that the top line model, the one with 2.3GHz processor and 4GB RAM will be made available in India. However, the press note does not reveal the launch date and price of the Zenfone 2.
The Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) features 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display and is powered by 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor paired with 4GB RAM.
The handset will be available in three storage options 16GB, 32GB or 64GB with microSD card support. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. A 3000mAh battery runs the show on the handset.
Taiwan was the first country to get the Asus Zenfone 2 and just today the handset was launched in China for a price tag of CNY 2000 ($320 | Rs. 20,000). In Taiwan it is priced TWD 8,990 (Rs. 18,000). We can expect similar pricing also in India.
