HTC One E9+ listed on company's China website


HTC has announced a new smartphone dubbed One E9+. The smartphone is listed on HTC's official website in China. It is expected to be officially unveiled in China on April 8.

The HTC One E9+ is a premium phablet that is  larger and more powerful version of HTC's flagship One M9. It is 7.49mm thick and has a part-metal. part-plastic body.

As per the listings the HTC One E9+ is a dual-SIM smartphone which runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 UI on top.

The HTC One E9+ features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6795M 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM. 

The handset will be offered in two storage option - 16GB or 32GB. Also present is a microSD card slot that supports microSD cards of up to 128GB.

Camera features include 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Ultrapixel front facing camera. 

Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with GLONASS. Audio features include 3.5 mm headset jack and Dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio. It is backed by a 2800mAh battery.

The HTC One E9+ measures 156.5×76.5×7.54mm and weighs 150g.

The HTC One E9+ is expected to be announced alongside HTC One E9 and HTC One M9+ at an event in China scheduled for April 8. 

The HTC One E9 will feature 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel main camera. Other specs will be same as One E9+.

The HTC One M9+ on the other hand appeared in live images recently. The M9+ is constructed of aluminum and features a Duo camera setup on the back. On the front we can see the home button which is likely to house a fingerprint sensor. Also HTC split the bottom speakers into two parts.

According to rumors the HTC One M9+ feature a 5-inch QHD display, 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processor (available in Chinese market), and 3GB RAM. There is also a Snapdragon 810 version which will be available elsewhere.
