Huawei launches TalkBand B2 fitness band and TalkBand N1 Bluetooth headset


Huawei launched two new wearable device dubbed Talk Band B2 and TalkBand N2 at MWC 2015. The Talk Band B2 is the successor to the TalkBand B1  which was launched last year. The TalkBand N2 is a Bluetooth headset that can track your fitness and play music.

The TalkBand B2 features 0.73-inch AMOLED display with touch support. It also houses a bluetooth headset which can be used to make voice calls. It also sports a microUS port for charging purposes. 

The TalkBand B2 communicates with your smartphone with Bluetooth 4.1, is compatible with iOS and Android handsets and can pair with more than one device at a time. It runs Huawei's propreitary OS.  It also has a 6-axis sensot that automatically detects your activity like walking, cycling and running.

The TalkBand B2 is backed by a 90mAh battery that delivers upto 7 hours call time, 5 days working time or 12 days standby time. The band is Water and dust-resistant. The plastic strap version is IP57 rated while the leather variant is IP54 rated. The TalkBand B2 will be available in black, silver or gold colour options.



On the other hand, The TalkBand N1 is claimed to be the first Hi-Fi stereo and Bluetooth headset with the ability to store music and play them.

The TalkBand N1 is a set of earbuds clipped together using magnets and provides activity tracking functions. 

There is an accelerometer that can take fitness measurement like distance walked and calories burned, when paired with a smartphone. However it doesn't have the six-axis tranceing of the TalkBand B2. It is IP54 rated for protection against dust and water splashes.

You can connect to the compatible iOS and Android device via USB port. It houses 4GB internal storage that can store around 1000 music files which can be sideloaded or synced via an app. It is backed by 67mAh battery which delivers up to 3 days of standby time and 5 hours of Call time. It will be available in gold, pink and silver.

Pricing and availability details are not yet disclosed.
