Karbonn Platinum P9 with 6-inch display now available for Rs. 8899 in India

A product page in Indian e-commerce website Snapdeal reveals price and specs of a new Karbonn smartphone dubbed Platinum P9. The handset is priced at Rs. 8,899 and can be purchased from the said site.

The Karbonn Platinum P9 is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the fox.

The handset sports a 6-inch qHD (560x960 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor. It houses 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card (accepts up to 32GB microSD cards).

Camera features include an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

At the same price point the Karbonn Platinum P9 will face stiff competition from Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G, Yu Yureka and Huawei Ascend GX1.
