LG launches Minibeam Pro, Minibeam TV projectors


LG launched two new Minibeam Projectors - LG Minibeam Pro (PF1500) and LG Minibeam TV (PW800). The projectors are lightweight and offer wireless connectivity that can be connected to laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone.

The LED illumination system runs approximately for about 30,000 hours. This means that users could use the projector for 8-hours a day for over 10 years without having to replace the LED illumiantaion system.

LG Minibeam pro comes with Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and outputs 1400 ANSI lumens at an image size of 120 inches with a contrast ratio of 150,000:1. It also has an optical zoom to adjust the size of the image without having to compromise the shrarpness. The Minibeam Pro can be connected via Bluetooth to portable speakers and wireless earphone. There is also an HDMI port. The projector measures 132mmx220mmx84mm and weighs 1.5KG.

The LG Minibeam TV is 800 ANSI lumens, WXGA (1280x800) projector with 100,000:1 contrast ratio. It projects image size of upto 100-inches. The MiniBeam TV has a built in TV-tuner, allowing you to use it as a standalone TV. It also has HDMI and USB support. The projector measures 140mmx140mmx50mm and weighs 0.6Kg.

The LG Minibeam Pro and Minibeam TV will be available in the U.S and South Korea starting this month. There are no details on pricing and global availability.
