Xiaomi reportedly working on a new smartwatch

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has already forayed into the wearable segment with MiBand fitness band. Now latest reports say that Xiaomi working on smartwatch. The company is also working on the successor to the MI Band as well.

A report from China's tech website '36Krypton' claims that Xiaomi is working on its first smartwatch. The watch will come with round dial and have a brushed metal design. It will come with a new feature called a pulse wave velocity identification technology. This is used to measure arterial stifness which tells the rate at which the pressure waves move down the blood vessels.

Xiaomi's smartwatch is expected to come with affordable price tag. Other details regarding the smartwatch are scarce.

The report also claims that the company is working on the successor to its Mi Band. The Mi band will note be different from its predecessor. It will have a sporty look and a light design and will feature NFC connectivity.
