HTC One M9+ with 5.2-inch QHD display, fingerprint scanner announced


HTC unveiled the HTC One M9+ at a press event in Beijing. The HTC One M9+ is slightly larger than the HTC One M9 and features nearly identical specs but is differentiated by its display, processor and camera.  It sports a unibody metal design.

The HTC One M9+ features 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440x2560 pixels) LCD display and is powered by 64-bit 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795K processor paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM.

The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with China-focused version of Sense UI7 UI on top.

Camera features include 20-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash  and UltraPixel front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm wide-angle lens. There is also a secondary rear camera to capture depth information.'

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth and GPS with GLONASS. A 2840mAh battery runs the show on HTC One M9+

Other features include fingerprint scanner and dual-front firing BoomSound  speaker with Dolby Audio.

The device will be offered in three color option - combination of silver and gold on side, an all-gold and gunmetal grey.


The HTC One M9+ is likely to be a China-exclusive as for now. There are no details on global availability.
