International Sony Xperia Z4 may be rebranded as Z3+; new Sony smartphone Xperia P2 with 4200mAh battery leaked

Sony announced the Xperia Z4 last week in Japan. Following the announcement, reports came out claiming that Xperia Z4 will only be for the Japanese market and Sony will launch a international version of Xperia Z4. Now there are more details on the international version.

The Sony Xperia Z4 may be launched internationally as the 'Xperia Z3+'.  The information comes from the accessory compatibility listing of the Sony SCR30 Style Cover Windows case for the Xperia Z4. Two devices are listed to be compatible - the Xperia Z4 and the Xperia Z3+.  This has led to the speculation that Xperia Z3+ is the international version for the Xperia Z4.

Other possible suspect for the Xperia Z4's internationl version is the Xperia P2. However the device has a different shape and has specs of a flagship device.

The alleged Xperia P2 features 5.2-inch full-HD TRILUMINOS display. It is powered by 64-bit 1.9 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Camera features include 12.1-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and 5.1-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed by a massive 4200mAh battery.

The camera features Exmor RS Sensor and Sony G OSS lens which enables OIS. The lens is a wide-angle 25mm lens with f/2.0 aperture and supports 4K video capture. The Xperia P2 will have a thickness varying from 8.9mm to 10.9mm, which as of today's standard is no way thin. Maybe the Xperia P2 will feature a curved back.
