Asus's fitness-centric VivoWatch gets Kood OS, 10 day battery life and $149 price tag
Last month, Asus announced a new fitness-centric smartwatch called Vivo Watch. Now, we have some more details.
Asus has launched the Vivo Watch in Taiwan. The device runs on Asus's propreitory OS called Kood. The smartwatch comes with 123mAh battery that delivers a longer battery life of 10 days, thanks to Kood's lower power requairement. It is IP67 rating certified for dust and water resistant.
The Vivo Watch has a tough stainless steel body and comes with rubber strap. It features 1.28-inch black and white touchscreen display. It does not have a proper processor, instead it uses only a microcontroller. The smartwatch will not be able to install third party apps. It can pair with phones running Android 4.3 or higher and iPhones running on iOS 8.1.
The smartwatch will come with a heart rate monitor and also has the ability to track your sleeping patterns. All the tracked data can be synced with the app and web interface called Asus HiVivo and Asus Healthcare.
Asus's VivoWatch be available in Taiwan starting May 8 for NT$4,588 ($150 | Rs.10,000) and will be released in the U.K, Germany, France and other European countries.
