Coolpad set to enter Indian market with Dazen brand of smartphones


According to a report from Economic times, Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad is planning to set foot in Indian market with its Dazen brand of smartphones.The company will sell its smartphones in India via flash sale and will be taking on the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo and Motorola.

Coolpad is also planning to set-up a research and development centre along with mobile phone manufacturing facility in the country.

Varun Sharma, CEO, Coolpad India said "“We will use the strengths of Coolpad as a manufacturer and innovator and the intent is to build a software and services ecosystem solving needs of our customers that are mostly online buyers,”

Coolpad also said Economic times that it will release smartphones priced between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 20,000, so we can expect budget and mid-range handsets from the company. Unfortunately the company did not reveal which Coolpad smartphone will be releasing in India.

We can expect the launch of Coolpad smartphones soon in India as the company is aiming to become the top three online selling brands in India before the year ends. It is also aiming to become first in the segment withing two to three years.
