Coolpad's Dazen range of smartphone Indian launch set for May 28


China based mobile manufacturer Coolpad recently announced it is planning to set foot in to the Indian market with its Dazen range of smartphones. Coolpad also apponted former director of Flipkart Varun Sharma as its Indian CEO.

Now, the company has sent out press invtes for an event in India that will take place on May 28. On that day the company will launch its Dazen range of smartphones for the Indian market.

Coolpad will follow the footsteps of their Chinese counterparts who sell their phone via online-only flash sale model (first used by Xiaomi) in India. Coolpad has formed alliance with Snapdeal to sell its smartphone exclusively in the country.

There are no details on which Dazen smartphone Coolpad intends to launch, but the company has been teasing about the phone via its Social channels. As per the teasers, the Dazen smartphone will be made of aircraft-grade materials and could have a frameless/bezel-less display and the display will be better than an IPS LCD display.

Coolpad's Dazen brand is expected to sell their smartphone between price range of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000 in the country. The company is aiming to become the top three online selling brands in India before the year ends. It is also aiming to become first in the segment withing two to three years.
