Gionee M5 with dual-battery setup passes TENAA


Gionee's upcoming smartphone M5 has been certified by China's TENAA. The same phone was earlier teased by the company via its weibo account. The teaser hinted that the M5 will have dual-battery setup and TENAA's listing also confirms that the Gionee M5 will pack two batteries.

The dual-battery setup was earlier seen in the recently launched Innos D6000 which also features dual battery with a capacity of 6000mAh (3500mAh removable + 2500mAh non-removable batteries) which offered up to 4 days of battery life. The Gionee M5 will pack two 3000mAh batteries for a combined capacity of a mammoth 6000mAh capacity that offers 4 days of battery life.

The Gionee M5 sports 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) AMOLED display and is powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core processor, paired with 2GB RAM. The M5 will house 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB supported). It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

For clicking pictures and selfies the M5 will have 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The listing also reveals that the phone will measure 152 x 76 x 8.5mm, weigh 213 grams and will be available in Black Gentleman, Noble White and Gold Glory colors.
