HTC WF5w (A50C) with 7.49mm waistline gets TENNA certification in China
HTC launched a number of high-end devices this year starting with their flagship One M9, followed by One M9+, One E9 and One E9+. The company is also rumored to be working on another high end phone called One ME9 aka Hima Ace. Now a new HTC handset was spotted China's TENAA.
HTC WF5w, an upcoming mid-range smartphone has been certified on TENAA. According to @upleaks the WF5w is a Desire Series smartphone and is codenamed A50C and also shared some details of the phone.
The TENAA listing reveals that the HTC WF5w is 7.49mm thick making it the slimmest HTC smartphone up to date. It features 5.5-inch (1280 x720 pixels) display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753T processor coupled with Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB RAM. The WF5w will come with 16GB internal storage (microSD card support up to 128GB) and run Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC sense UI on top.
Photography department will be handle by 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 13-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual-SIM support. There is also a Dual frontal BoomSound stereo speakers.
Most of the specs revealed by TENAA coincides with specs outed by @upleaks. However, according to @upleaks the front facing camera will be 5-megapixel.
The HTC WF5w (A50C) launch is only confirmed for the Chinese market, but we can expect it to launch in other Asian markets also.
