MEIZU makes its Indian debut with the m1 note, available via Amazon India on May 20


Chinese handset manufacturer, Meizu announced the launch of its m1 note handset for the Indian market. It was initially announced in China in December last year.

Meizu m1 note will exclusively available via Amazon and will be available starting May 20, 2pm IST onwards. The company has not revealed the pricing of the handset, but is is expected to be priced aggressively to take on other Chinese mobile manufacturers who have been doing well in India including Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo and many other. It may be priced below Rs. 11,000.

Zauba which track imports and exports in India has listed the m1 note on its website. The listing reveals that Meizu have imported around 4000 unite of the m1 note, out of that 3000 are white color variant and 1000 in blue color. The site also mention that the devices are priced Rs. 9,810 before taxes and other charges. It is not yet clear that this the only shipment and units available of the m1 note for the Indian market.



Meizu m1 note is a dual-SIM handset that runs Android 4.4 KitKat-based Flyme OS. It sports 5.5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) IGZO (Sharp) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under the hood there is a 1.7GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 2GB RAM and Mali T760 MP2 GPU. The smartphone comes in two storage variants - 16GB and 32GB.

m1 note comes equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with five elent f/2.2, Blue glass IR filter and LED flash. On the front there is a 5-megapixel camera for video calling and taking selfies. Connectivity features include LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0

The Meizu m1 note packs 3140mAh non-removable battery, measures 150.7x75x8.9mm, weighs 145 grams and comes in white, Blue, yelllow, green and pink colors.
