HTC Taiwan launches Desire 820G+ Dual SIM with 5.5-inch HD display

HTC announced a new Desire-series smartphone, the Desire 820G+ Dual SIM for its home market, Taiwan.

The HTC Desire 820G+ Dual SIM features 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by MediaTek MT6592 chipset with 1.7GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. The phone comes with 16GB internal storage with microSD card support up to 32GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, 3G and Micro-USB. Unfortunately there is no support for 4G LTE connectivity. But it does support HTC DotView cases. A 2600mAh battery fuels the Desire 820+ that offers up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 560 hours of standby time. 

The HTC Desire 820G+ is priced at TWD 5,990 (Rs. 12,500). There are no details on global availability. 

In addition, HTC Taiwan also launched the Desire 626G+ Dual-SIM smartphone. It was launched in India back in April for Rs. 16,900. It features 5-inch HD display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, micro-SD card slot (up to 32GB supported), 13-megapixel rear & 5-megapixel front camera (rear camera features LED flash), Android 4.4 KitKat and 2000mAh battery.
